The Rugali Washing Station, founded in 2016, is situated at an altitude of 1,550–1,800 meters in Nymasheke, Western Province, Rwanda. In just four years, it has grown to become one of the largest washing stations in the area.
Approximately 1,150 smallholder farmers collaborate with the station under the leadership of Managing Director Balthazar Ndikubwimana, achieving an annual production of about 500 tons of cherries.
The coffee offers delightful notes of strawberry and elderflower syrup, complemented by a refined acidity, sugarcane sweetness, and hints of nutmeg.
